Description
Commission for of her dragon character, Regina Mauve. It's been a while since I've made a complex OC, and Regina certainly was a challenge! She's a bird dragon, so she is covered in lots of feathers, plus she has a number of pink-to-blue color gradients, which I made with the help of my trusty mica pigment. Regina also features multi-layered wings, bone-colored claws and horns, and detailed striping.
Regina is one of my larger-sized 3 inch tall dragons, so she's quite substantial - for a fun size comparison, take a look at I took pictures of Regina as I worked on her, so if you'd like to see some process pictures with accompanying commentary, please take a look at Making Regina Mauve: Step by Step.
Crafted from colored polymer clay, mica pigment, and acrylic paint.

I must say, I really love the design, and I just kind of realized that I may of subconsciously copied her tail design for my own clay dragon in class... Oops... But Regina looks great, I must say! Much better than my little dragon looks...
