Hey, I'm back! I hope you had a wonderful holiday break - I definitely enjoyed taking a bit of time off to visit my family and relax after a stressful pre-holiday season. I have a few remaining pieces from last year to show before launching into 2015's creations, which I'm already hard at work on. I'm looking forward to making this HMD's best year yet! ^^
This custom commission was my take on a cat dragon originally made by Wood Splitter Lee (I couldn't find it in her gallery, else I'd have linked it). The client wanted something similar as a gift for her sister, but she let me do my own take on the subject. The result is this cute little guy, reclining on his back with all paws playfully upraised to show off his little claws and paw-pads! I used a differently styled face for this dragon in order to better accommodate the glass eyes (still trying to figure out the right relationship between facial structure and these new eyes). I think he's pretty neat - definitely a fun color combination to work with!
Crafted from colored polymer clay, Swarovski crystal rhinestones, and hand-painted glass eyes.
