Spirit of Water: Aquatic Dragon

The third elemental dragon is the spirit of water! Again, she's been made with the #BuyHandmade Elements contest in mind. I also ran with the theme of 'winter' for her, so she's made out of icy whites and blues. The animal connection is pretty weak - there's a little bit of axlotl, flying fish, and shark in there, but I didn't use any references, and was more interested in messing around with translucent clay. I think a good alternate title for these elemental dragons would be "the translucent series", because I've been going nuts with the translucent clay for all of them. This one is definitely fun to look at in bright light, because of the way light shines through her.

Unfortunately, the translucent clay ended up being really soft, and since I couldn't use my usual foil armature due to the transparency, her head sagged a bit in the oven and now she is studiously staring at the ground. Seriously lame! Also, it made it hard to get decent pictures. -_- I guess you can say she's the introspective sort, lost in contemplation.
