Rainbows Upon Black Rainbows by HowManyDragons Rainbows Upon Black Rainbows by HowManyDragons
This guy was a bit of a failed experiment - I wanted a black dragon that would look like frosted black glass, but I used way too much black and it overpowered the translucent. You can see a difference if you put him next to a regular black dragon... but it just looks like a different shade of black. -_-

Anyway! This is me trying to clear away the bits and pieces of leftover clay from my elemental series. Also, I had this gorgeous piece of rainbow dichroic glass sitting around, and I thought it would be just the right sort of treasure for this dragon to hold. My camera barely does it justice - it is absolutely captivating in person. You can get a hint of that by seeing how the color reflects off the ground at his feet.

This dragon has been sold, but you can still find additional photos at the Etsy listing.

Hehe, I don't think he's a failure - just didn't turn out the way I'd hoped. :]

Nope, I use glass bugle beads for the eyes. I avoid painting whenever possible. xD

I love dichroic glass! And it goes so well with your little dragon. Beautiful colors, as always!
