Description
This dragon represents December in my birthstone collection. December's birthstone is either blue zircon or turquoise, and this dragon sports a bit of both. He is holding a blue zircon rhinestone gem and has a matching gem on his forehead, while his belly is made out of inlaid turquoise chips. His body is turquoise blue and he has black accents - December is a dignified fellow!
I'd originally planned this dragon around turquoise, but the rhinestones that I ordered really don't look right for turquoise. Plus, they were labelled as blue zircon so I'm not sure who I thought I was going to fool besides myself... <_< Fortunately, I found a bag of turquoise chips that I'd completely forgotten about so I was able to add some of those in. This guy gets a bit of both gemstones, which I think is good?
This dragon is a repeatable design available for purchase on Etsy. You can find additional photos and sales information at his listing.

Hi Lindy! One more time, I just wanted to let you know that I've featured your work in a post called December Birthstone Dragons by Various Artists on my dragon artwork blog (with proper attribution and links back, of course). What can I say, I'm just a superfan! I love your captions too... "I'm not sure who I thought I was going to fool besides myself..." It turned out great with the dual stones. As always, you can find me at Writing Dragons, and this feature here. Keep up the fantastic work!
